The Region’s Card can be easily obtained and, most importantly, at no charge. In addition to familiar payment options, the Region’s Card has a range of socially significant non-financial services. For example, it can be used as a fare ticket in the Murmansk Region. The current Social Travel Card will be stepwise carried to the Region’s Card. In addition, the Region’s Card will be used as an access pass to the academic buildings of the Murmansk Region and for provision of a range of other sought-after services. «Two large banks and dozens of local entities have already jointed the Region’s Card project. April 2021 saw the announcement of the project launch in the Murmansk Region. This time was devoted to the digital environment creation in the region to introduce non-financial services and select the project partners that provide holders of the Region’s Card with special offers when performing purchase transactions with the Region’s Card. Mir Payment System, together with the region, updated the cashless fare service in the Murmansk Region and ensured its compatibility with the transport processing platform of NSPK (Mir Payment System Operator). Nowadays, not only can a bank card be used to pay the fare in the entire region, but also a mobile phone using Mir Pay and Samsung Pay services. „The Unified Murmansk Region’s Card issued by Sovcombank combines the region’s social programs and a well-developed loyalty program of the Halva buy-now and pay-later card. The Region’s Card based on Halva provides the holders with up to 8,5% p.a. balance interest, up to 6% cashback, by 1% increased deposit interest rate, up to 24 months of the interest-free installment plan, and other available bonuses, ” commented Anna Kambulova, Managing Director of Sovcombank PJSC.
