29 August 2022NSPK and GLONASS-CRIMEA Launched Cashless Fares for Some Intercity Bus Routes in Crimea

National Payment Card System (NSPK) together with GLONASS-CRIMEA LLC (transport operator) launched a cashless fare service for some intercity bus routes in the Republic of Crimea on the basis of the carrier GUP RC Crimeatrolleybus, which also provides bus passenger services from Simferopol to the cities of the Crimean Peninsula. ROSSIYA Bank (Joint Stock Bank) became a settlement agent and an acquiring bank. This is the first project in the Republic of Crimea based on the NSPK’s service named Transport Processing Platform (TPP). Fare automation improves the passenger service quality on the intercity transport of the Republic of Crimea by using Mir cards, cards of international payment systems issued by any issuing bank and cashless payment-enabled mobile phones (Mir Pay Samsung Pay, etc.). For passengers, on-board cashless payments are instant, user-friendly and convenient as the only thing required is to touch a card, NFC-enabled mobile phone or any other gadget on a validator, terminal or turnstile installed on public transport. To raise awareness, a passenger’s account is available on bilet.nspk.ru [https://bilet.nspk.ru/]: information on trips made using contactless or tokenized cards, card removal from the STOP list in case of fare debts and other options. A debt arisen even when paying with a mobile phone can be easily checked by PAN not creating an account on bilet.nspk.ru [https://bilet.nspk.ru/] .
