NSPK and MasterCard Have Entered into the First Co-Badging Agreement

On Friday, June 19, NSPK and MasterCard have signed the first co-badging agreement containing the provision that Mir and Maestro cards will be issued in the nearest future, Olga Skorobogatova, Deputy Chairwoman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation said.

Co-badged cards are debit cards that support several payment systems, usually two. Vladimir Komlev, General Director of JSC NSPK, has previously informed us of the fact that NSPK is discussing co-badging programs with such companies as JCB (Japan), and also with MasterCard and American Express.

«This day, June 19, is a really special one. I am excited to share this information with you that today NSPK and MasterCard have signed the first co-badging agreement containing the provision that Mir and Maestro cards will be issued in the nearest future», Olga Skorobogatova said in her report delivered at the session held during St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
